Imagine yourself in a world that is as far from the noise and pollution of urban living as you would want yourself to be. Find yourself basking in the gentle touch of the morning sun amidst the foothills of an anciant volcano, in a hidden valley of deep green grass and tropical foliage. Take shelter in open hallways of a Spanish-Mediterranean themed architectural marvel that blends with zen-like perfection in its surrounding landscape. Strange as it may seem, you start to feel as if you've finally reached your home.

The vision of Shangri-la will no longer be a lost dream of Tennyson as JAKA Tagaytay Holdings Corporation signed an agreement with Sta. Lucia Realty and Development, Incorporated last May 21, 2003 to construct the 2,500 square meter golf clubhouse that wll serve as the centerpiece of Splendidio Taal Golf Corporation. Led by JAKA Chief Operating Officer Katrina Ponce Enrile and Sta. Lucia President Exequiel Robles, the two real estate giants again joined forces to develop what soon will be a new landmark in the already fascinating landscape of Taal.

Envisioned to be a sprawling two-level edifice that goes well with the wide open spaces of the golf course, the club house was designed by the renowned architectural firm of RRPayumo and Partners with the mindset of understated elegance. The upper level will house the main facilities of the club house, which include among others:a veranda overlooking Taal Lake and the golf course, a fine dining area, lounge area, a karaoke bar, function rooms, a proshop and the administrative offices. The sauna, jacuzzi and massage faciliteis as well as the shower and locker rooms for women will likewise be located on the upper level of the clubhouse.

The lower level will be reserved for the sauna, jacuzzi and massage facilities for men, including their shower and locker areas. The lower level shall likewise be utilized for golf car parking.

Designed to accomodate small private functions and major corporate events, the Splendido golf club-house will be contructed with a semi-enclosed veranda that can comfortably seat 120 guests. Utilizing the open space directly accesible from the veranda, the capacity of the function area can easily be increased three-fold. From intimate dinners for two to grand conventions of hundreds, the clubhouse of Splendido will provide golf club members with opportunity to relax, get together, meet new friends and make lasting memories in a setting that is distinctly Splendido.

Last October 19, 2003, the dream became one step closer to reality with the ground breaking and cornerstone laying ceremony for the proposed clubhouse which was conducted at Splendido. Led by project proponents Katrina Ponce Enrile and Exequiel Robles, a time capsule was lowered at the site containing signed brochures and promotional materials of the golf course.
